Neymar has had a nightmare journey in Saudi Arabia as he has remained sidelined for the majority of his stay with Al-Hilal due to several injuries. The Brazilian appeared in only five matches in his maiden season in the Saudi Pro League before rupturing his ACL while on international duty in October 2023. He returned to action after a year, only to get sidelined with yet another injury setback.

There have been speculations over Neymar's future in Saudi Arabia and that Al-Hilal are considering an early termination of the superstar's contract, however, the 32-year-old's father recently revealed why his son continues to be in the club's books despite his injury problems. Neymar Sr. also dropped a hint on his son's future at the end of the 2024-25 campaign.
WHAT NEYMAR SAID
Speaking podcast via , Neymar's father said, "Let's wait and see what will happen and how Neymar will really feel. He will be free to decide. We have never been so free to decide where we are going and having a 32-year-old free on hand is a gift for any businessman.
"All the clubs will be there and Al Hilal will be in this championship, they won this place. They already have one of the biggest stars they could have to compete in this and a boy with experience in this type of competition. That is why they did not give up on the second year of Neymar’s contract."

The Brazilian international has also been linked with a move back to his homeland as his boyhood club Santos are reportedly preparing a big offer to lure the star attacker. It now remains to be seen where Neymar will end up in the summer of 2025.
